Who do your staff have to buy for this Christmas? Have they even thought about it yet? Get them to share their lists now and send them out shopping. And make sure you do the same!
Get this done well before the Christmas rush. Have them help one another out with ideas. Put a chart up out the back where you and each of your team have to mark off as they buy their gifts. This puts your staff in their customer’s shoes. Now they can truly empathise.
Let your customers know what is going on. They will love hearing about this and while teasing and encouraging your staff to get their Christmas shopping underway, it will get them thinking about it too.
It’s all about creating conversations, involving your customers and energising your team. Go on, have fun, get right into it. It’s worth the effort!
