In his book ‘Design a Good Life’, Cairns pharmacist Mario Calanna reminds us of a Navajo fable in which a woman tells her grandson a story about how each of us has two wolves inside us that are constantly battling one another.
One wolf is jealous, resentful, full of false pride and self-pity. To this wolf everything in the world is wrong, unpleasant and against it. She explained, there is also a different wolf that lives inside us. This wolf has love, hope, empathy, compassion and sees the good in all around it.
When the grandson asked his grandmother which one of the wolves wins this constant daily battle, she answered, “The one you feed.”
Over to you: Which wolf are you feeding in your life?
