Involving customers with causes

Returning to the topic of donations, while in England recently I was impressed with the set up on the counter of a Costa coffee shop.

They had two lemons floating in a bowl of water. To keep you occupied while you wait there was a sign saying ‘Balance 20p on a lemon and win yourself a drink – And if you don’t manage, don’t worry. All lost coins go to the Costa Foundation.’

It looks easy. It wasn’t and another donation was made.
